What does Rentasurfboard.com do?

We enable you to book surfboards online from shops in your chosen resort. Rentasurfboard.com acts as a surfboards booking agent for shops throughout the World. We make a booking for surfboards with a shop for you.

Will I get the model I asked for?

Yes, most of the time. Most shops provide us with a list of models available in each category and you can choose from those. The shop will normally provide the model that you have chosen. However due to the fixed numbers available please be prepared to accept an alternative model of at least the same standard, if not better. Not getting the model chosen allows you to refuse the equipment and claim a refund of your deposit, although not getting equipment from the category chosen does.

Are the surfboards same as on pictures ?

All the pictures are pretty recent, but are not renewed on a monthly basis either. So sometimes the actual board may differ between the time the picture has been taken and between the time you collect the board. But we make sure they are in good condition, in case the board is seriously damaged, you will be offered a replacement or compensation.

Does the delivery option include drop off and pick up ?

Yes, boards are delivered to the accomodation of your choice and picked up after the rental period at the same place. In that case  you won't need to go to the inventory center.

Can I change my board once it's collected ?

Most inventory centers offer this possibility to change the board, you may need to pay extra if the second board you want is at a higher price than the one previously booked.

Are the prices more expensive than in the shops ?

The prices on rentasurfboard.com are the same as if you were going to the shop by yourself. The service is totally free and we try to get the best prices for every destination. All the prices are quoted in USD.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, if the booking has not started and you contact us at least 1 week before the first day of the commencement of the booking, your deposit will be refunded fully. If the cancellation happens less than one week before the first day of booking, rentasurfboard.com will keep the  deposit.

How do I pay my booking?

When you book on rentasurfboard.com you pay only a reservation fee of 10% 15% by debit or credit card or Paypal.

All transactions are carried out on a secure server where your information is encrypted and kept away from prying eyes. Any remaining amount is paid to the shop in resort when you collect your equipment.

The balance is to be paid when you collect the board. Please note many remote locations only accept cash. (better you ask before)

Will I be asked for a security deposit ?

Depending on the shop you have chosen, some ask for a deposit, some want to keep an original id. You'll get all the information about deposit policy before you finalize booking and you'll get a reminder on your voucher. If deposit is required, don't forget to take everything necessary with you once you collect the board.

Where do I get my surfboard from?

When you arrive in resort, simply go to the place indicated on your voucher and pick up your equipment. You may be asked to produce a proof of identity, so take along a passport or something similar. In case a deposit is required, you may also be required to leave it before you pick up the board. You may either present them with the confirmation booking form that you have printed off this web site, or simply quote the booking reference. You must have the booking reference in order to confirm your booking with the shop.

If you have selected the delivery to your hotel, please stay in your room at the time you have advised on the booking form. The board will be delivered directly to your room if you have entered the correct hotel details.

Not at all. All transactions are made in a secure environment, using the latest encryption technology. The page which requests your card details will be prefixed by https:// showing that it is a secure connection.
